Weekend Warriors . . .What is it?
A 2-night, 3-day boarding and training package for you and your horse. You’ll get a jump start on your riding this season, and/or a chance to get that Greenie out for a weekend of adventure and learning.
Ship-in on Friday . . . anytime after 3:30 pm. Your horse will get a stall and be assigned a pasture or paddock for the weekend. Bring grain and hay for the weekend and we’ll feed for you. Your horse will be turned out and your stall kept cleaned. Plenty of weekend parking for your trailer.
Hack anywhere around the property Friday evening if you wish.
Flatwork Lesson on Saturday with Cori (private, 50 minutes). Whether your discipline is eventing, foxhunting, showjumping or pleasure (English OR Western), Cori can help you ride more effectively, enabling your horse to improve his balance, strength, coordination and confidence. Her approach to teaching is to give riders the information they need, demonstrations whenever possible, and the support and encouragement to be patient. “Producing a horse is a process!”
Jumping Lesson on Sunday (or opt for continued Flatwork or Trail Obstacle work) with Cori (max 4 riders, 1 ½ - 2 hours). Bring Saturday’s work to the table on Sunday! Jumping lessons may combine ground poles, grids, single fences and small courses. Trail Obstacle lessons may combine ground poles, logs, tarps, banks and drops as well as gate-work.
FEE $110 for the weekend. This includes NWF stabling, turnout and feeding, Friday hacking and 2 lessons. (Fun and camaraderie is an additional charge). Multiple horse discount. Don’t have your own horse? Let’s chat, we may be able to find you something to ride.
Norwegian Wood Farm is a 148 acre playground for horses and riders: Covered ring with crush rubber footing, outdoor sand ring, numerous grass riding fields, and cross country field with elementary thru training level obstacles. Stalls are large, airy and matted. Pastures are grassy with shade or sheds . . . large and small to suit a variety of diets.
